Prep the ingredients: Wash and dry all produce. Bring a #large pot{} of salted water to a boil. Meanwhile, halve @zucchini{2%unit} lengthwise, then cut into ½-inch pieces. Halve, peel, and finely chop @yellow onion{2%unit}. Mince or grate @garlic{4%clove}.

Heat @olive oil{2%teaspoon} in a #large pan{} over medium heat. Add @ground beef{16%ounce} and season with @salt{} and @pepper{}. Cook for about ~{6%minutes}, breaking up the pieces, until no longer pink.

Cook the vegetables: Add the onions and zucchini and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about ~{5%minutes}, until softened. Add the garlic and @italian seasoning{2%teaspoon} and cook for ~{30%seconds}, until fragrant.

Add @crushed tomatoes{2%box}, ½ cup water, and @chili flakes{1%teaspoon} (to taste) to the pan. Simmer for about ~{10%minutes}, until thickened.

Meanwhile, add @spaghetti{12%ounce} to the boiling water and cook for ~{9%minutes} to ~{10%minutes}, until al dente. Drain using a #strainer{} and add to the pan with the sauce. Toss to combine.

Finish: Serve the ragu in bowls with a sprinkle of @parmesan cheese{½ cup} on top!
